How "Being More Green" can bring "More Green" to the Bluegrass

Hosted by Commerce Lexington -- What kinds of things can you, your family and your business or organization do to help Lexington make the Top 25 Green Cities in America list in the future? During the next Commerce Lexington Inc. Good Morning Bluegrass event presented by Fifth Third Bank , experts in the field of "green" initiatives will explain efforts on a local, state, and federal level that can help turn the country and our area more "green," and all the while having an enormous impact on central Kentucky. Join us for an interactive discussion featuring the following panelists moderated by Phil Osborne (Preston-Osborne): Dr. Len Peters from the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet to speak on Governor Beshear's Energy Agenda. Dr. Rodney Andrews, Director of UK's Center for Applied Energy Research will discuss Kentucky's role in alternative fuel research and production. Scott Smith of Smith Management Group will highlight the E.P.A. Consent Decree and how it relates to your driveway, parking lot, and roof. David Freibert of Kentucky Utilities Co. - An E.ON Company and Barry Mayfield from East Kentucky Power to discuss energy legislation and the impact on your wallet. The cost to attend is $25 per person for Commerce Lexington Inc. members, $35 for potential members.
