Steps or process involved, purchase considerations:
| System is being installed by Geothermal Systems, Inc. | ![]() |
| It involved drilling 38 wells 300’ deep, connected by three loops to a vault which uses the earth’s core temperature to either heat or cool a water/alcohol mixture underground... | |
| ...(located under the facility’s parking lot). | ![]() |
| The temperature-adjusted mixture is then pumped into the new building to heat or cool as needed. | |
Other useful information or side benefits:
When the heating and cooling systems for the adjacent sanctuary and education building need to be replaced, the excess capacity in the new geothermal system will provide a significant proportion of the heating and cooling needs of those spaces as well.
